Day 8: The Pleasure of Living Holy

The greatest pleasures available to the human spirit are spiritual pleasures that come to us when God reveals God to our spirit. This exhilarates our spirit at the deepest levels. We are liberated from the inferior pleasures of sin by the superior pleasures of the beauty of Jesus.

Application

1. Describe in your own words how living a holy life is superiorly pleasurable in comparison to a worldly life is inferiorly pleasurable.
2. Give an example of how living an unholy life can cause other people to stumble. Explain how does God want us to respond if our life choices cause others to stumble.
3. Listen to “God’s Love Is Better Than the Wine of This World” by Mike Bickle. Create a plan from this teaching on how you will live more holy for God.
4. Create something for a “child” audience, for them to understand the principles of why we should live a holy life versus why we should resist a worldly life.
